True Love

Love can always conquer
Whatever discord brings
And love can also cover
A multitude of things

Don't you under estimate
What love can ever do
For love is God eternal
And His love can renew

What is cold and lifeless
Now lost all hope and died
For love can breathe new meaning
And give it back new life

Please don't give up on love
When it seems that all is lost
For there is always hope
If we're prepared to pay the cost

For love is always worth it
No matter how much the price
For love will be much stronger
When we trust in Jesus Christ

So let God have full reign
Let Him live within your heart
Then you will know true love
For this He will impart

Light of Hope

Just when darkness closes in,
  And it feels like your whole world is at an end.

Just when the curtain falls and so do you,
  And evil covers all thats true!

Just when you think you've taken your last breath,
  And your treatments are drawing you closer to death.

Just when your strength fails from the last blow,
  And as your knees go the bruises show.

Or when your heart is breaking for the last time,
  And you have no more love or faith in man kind.

Thats when a sliver of hope appears,
  A light so dim yet it relieves all your fears!

It is small in size but shies SO bright!
  It nums your pain and dims your sight!

It shines on to show you a new way,
  Opening new doors to a new day!

Just think, that tiny sliver, that tiny light,
  Is Gods power overcoming your night!

For God it takes just a pinprick to help you cope,
  But to your faith it is the Light of Hope!

Looking up

Hey everyone! Sorry its taken me so long to post. Been REALLY busy lately. So here is a poem I wrote yesterday. Its kind of a praise and worship type of poem! Hope you enjoy! God Bless!

   the guidance of my soul!
You give me the strength that I need,
   When my path in life creates rocks and holes!
Thank you for your light!

Giving

To give is to receive!
To give is to believe!

In God and all his promises!

Give without wanting!
Give without flaunting!
Give just to Give!
Give  to just live!!
Life to its fullest!

Giving should be your habit every day!
Giving is going by God's way!

Give to not receive!
Give and don't deceive!
Giving is living God's love!

Testing Seasons

God Blesses us in many ways,
  And thankful I am for the blessing of you today!

God brought you to me for a reason,
  Its up to us to test it through seasons!

I have faith in God's choice,
  So let us both give thanks and rejoice!!

School Starts

Smiles and giggles
    Laughter and wiggles!

Lightbulbs glowing
    Thinking caps knowing!

Questions always asked
    With energy running fast!

School is in the air
    Teachers beware!!

Forgiving his Disguise!

Interjected demands from a peaceful moment!

self absorption is the key to his wants!

That began with a good intent,

And ended with her heart spent!

A pompous assumption that he fabricated!

Fabricated to disguise the truth of his goal!

But to use God as his fabrication was his mistake!

Because how could you rick his love to forsake?!!

He forgets that God sees all, see past his fraudulent lies!

See''s past his cloak of disguise!

Yet she still forgives and for him prays!

Prays for the salvation of his soul and end of his bad ways!

Dont Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will;
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill;
When the funds are low, and the debts are high;
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh;
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Success is failure turned inside out;
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt;
And you can never tell how close you are;
It may be near when it seems afar.

Changing

I look into the mirror and who do I see?

I see thoughts and worries looking back at me.

I look into the mirror and who do I see?

I see chaos on the verge of insanity.

I look into the mirror and who do I see?

A kindness rejected by a selfish plea.

I look into the mirror and who do I see?

Anger, always anger turning into me.

I look at the reflection and what is there?

A person in changing because she cares.

Never Fail!

As the days go by I wonder why,

I have not failed.

In my mind as things unwind,

I have failed.

Yet God keeps me going. I keep on sowing,

Over what is prevailed.

He gives me signs. I am not blind,

With what he reveals.

With what he give, I know I'll live

And I will never fail!

Honesty

To be peeved is to be deceived,
    By ourselves and to others!

We must hold to ourselves honesty.
    To be truthful to our sisters and brothers.

This is a hard task to conceive,
    But with our hearts we must believe.

That with faith we can be true,
    so that we will know what to do.

So the answer to our lives,
    Is having honesty to contrive.

Day Dream or Reality?

With a summer breeze you sing a song.
   Praying this day will be long!

You play with flowers,
   Passing each hour.

While soaking your feet in the stream,
   You concoct a day dream!

Your flying in the air!
   How, you just dont care!
Your just here!

Sounds of the Sea

Open your mind,
   Let things unwind!

Open your heart!
   To a brand new start!

Let your soul sore,
   From sky to sea floor!

Open your eyes and look around!
   Give way to earth's sound.

Let your spirit be free!
   To the sound of the sea!!

He see's He hears

I see a tear drop like a grain of salt falling as a token!

   Jesus' word must be spoken.

Time sets in and more tokens fall!
   Jesus answers all his calls!

A mother grieves for her child's request!
   A child maimed wishing he could be best.

A father woes for bread on his table.
   Working hard yet don't know if he's able.

A young woman divorced, alone, and barren.
   Wondering why she cant stop hope, why she cant stop caring!

A young man in college not knowing who to trust.
   Trying to do right and not given to lust.

Tears they cry, tears that fall like a grain of salt.
   Each grain turning into thousands, thousands of tokens.
Tokens of prayers, spoken!

And Jesus hears them all!
   Because he answers all his calls!

Summer Days

With a summer breeze,
you sing a song
praying that days are long.

You play with flowers
passing each hour.

While soaking you feet
in the cool stream
you concoct a day dream.

Your flying in the air
how you just don't care
because your just there!

Strength

Hope is all you need,
faith is your creed.

Realization was your downfall,
But strong will fights a long haul.

Know that others are at your side,
Fighting with you on this ride.

Prayers are your power,
Use them for each passing hour.

Giving up is not a choice,
Live for each moment and rejoice.
Know that God does hear your voice.

Know that you have loved ones to lean on,
And their faith in you is knowing you've already won!

Healthcare

Discontented thoughts
Discontented smiles.

Health care is fought
Health care is filed

So much money demanded
with no reflected advice

Careless physicians and owners
without greed-less concerns

Why not consideration
That's what the people really yearn.

An upward crease shows on my lips!
Light glimmers from my eyes!
My step is light and airy!

Fairies Fairies blooming bright,
through the petals of a long night!
to beautiful to remove from our sight!
Watch them, as they take flight!!

Fairies Fairies, watch them fly!
through the stars in the skies!
Look!!! they fly so high!!
Waiting for night to die!

Fairies Fairies, morning came.
go to sleep everyone!

BEST POEM IN THE WORLD!
I was shocked, confused, bewildered
As I entered Heaven's door,
Not by the beauty of it all,
Nor the lights or its decor.
But it was the folks in Heaven
Who made me sputter and gasp-
-The thieves, the liars, the sinners,
The alcoholics and the trash.
There stood the kid from seventh grade
Who swiped my lunch money twice.
Next to him was my old neighbor
Who never said anything nice.
Herb, who I always thought
Was rotting away in hell,
Was sitting pretty on cloud nine,
Looking incredibly well.
I nudged Jesus, 'What's the deal?
I would love to hear Your take.
How'd all these sinners get up here?
God must've made a mistake.'
And why's everyone so quiet,
So somber - give me a clue.

Here Today Gone Tomorrow

        What is love to you?  Something to abandon?

        I still exist, I still feel.

        I am not someone to choose at random.

        I am a woman, I need something real.

        

        I am losing hope and faith in you

        Can I depend that you are true?

        

        Why don't you speak say what you think.

        Don't you know I can be gone in a blink?

        

        I love you yes but don't make me worry.

        And no I'm not in a rush or hurry.

A present of twinkling charms and open arms.

With honest eyes, not afraid to hide.

Angels Over Me

When darkness creeps upon me,
    Like looming clouds of doom.

I remember there are Angels.
    Angels who guard over you.

They give you strength and love,
    And watch you daily thorough.

So storms of grief and pain
    Will always go away.

So I look up to the clouds
    And I remember where their taken from,

The heavens of tomorrow!
The heavens of today!

Wanting Always Glory

It is cloudy outside but I see
    Light shining through!!

I get the sense of a pathway,
    Something New!!

There is concern but no fear,
    Because God is here!

I love to rejoice and praise him!
    His blessings just shine like gems!!

I feel exhilarated when I walk and talk
    With him alone!
He gives me peace within because
    of one white stone!

Salvation I have praises to him above,
    Because of his glorious son's love!

Expressing Your Soul

  For almost 20 years now I have been writing poetry. I started when I was 12 and haven't stopped since. A lot of people frown on poetry in today's age because we don't value the simple things anymore. Most people wont read poetry unless the author is old or dead and gone. I say this is because we have lost our compassion for expressing our souls! When we look back to authors of poetry from the past we see great emotions through their poetry! Its always intense!!! The are expressing how they feel about anything and everything through the words of their poems. That is gone from today's youth or younger generations.
  Today's youth and young adult generations are so absorbed into the worlds media and technology culture that they never stop to smell the roses! They never stop and sit in a park under a tree and read a line from Maya Angelou, or Walter De la Mare. "Slowly, silently, now the moon

  See! Nobody writes like that anymore!! You cant feel the emotion he is expressing while gazing at the beauty of the moon! If single men were to study poetry and use it through dating they would have a lot more success! Same goes with women! People LOVE romance, it makes them Feel! The world today is so busy and consumed by the 'culture of technology' they don't even stop to Feel any more! I call it 'culture of technology' when really it should be called the 'Society of Technology'! You hardly see anyone without a cell phone anymore! Everyone is connected some way some how to this technology. If we as a society and people in the world step back for at least one day and turn off our phones, our computers, and TVs and open a book of poetry or take a walk in the park with some Shakespeare it would be amazing at how many people started to feel and express that! How many would be inspired to do more than just read! Feeling is what creates artist, musicians, and writers!
  So instead of waking up tomorrow and checking your messages on the phone, call in sick, then turn it off, get up and smell the roses, so to speak! Read and book of poems! Walk in a garden or park! Bake a cake! Paint that picture you have always painted!! LIVE, LAUGH, & LOVE!!!

A Heart

A heart not gone,
a heart that's broken.

A heart for a song,
a heart as a token.

A heart to grieve,
a heart to save.

A heart to receive,
a heart a slave.

A heart that's wrong,
A hear that's crying.

A heart in a song,
a heart that's dying.

A heart heart can forgive.
